Print Digital Artwork

Please supply a Hi-Res PDF (see delivery methods below).
Our Pre-Press Department operates on an Apple Macintosh system and supports the following software:

• Quark Xpress 6 / Adobe Creative Suite 2 (Photoshop/Illustrator)

In order for us to output your advertising correctly please supply:

• All the graphics files (300dpi and CMYK colour)
• All fonts must be embedded with your artwork or converted to outlines/curves

When you have prepared your advert, you can supply it in the following formats:

YOU MUST QUOTE THE REFERENCE as the folder name. Please telephone and also fax a hard copy when sending the advert.

HARD COPY TYPESETTING SERVICE
 
Please note that Ten Alps Publishing provides this service free of charge.  We understand that not all advertisers can supply their advertisement in a digital format. We can produce an advertisement for you, but to enable us to provide this service we require the following information:

• Company Name
• Logo
• Photographs
• Business  Description - essential to ensure your business is classified

IMAGE FILES

• All colour scans to be 300dpi. This is an industry standard setting to reproduce colour images to an acceptable quality (also known as High resolution/Hi-Res)
• All colour scans to be saved CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black). This supports the four-colour print process
• Greyscale scans also to be 300dpi (Dots per inch)
• Logos/Lineart to be 600dpi. This is so a more defined image is achieved

FONTS

We always require PRINTER and SCREEN versions of fonts unless the fontis TRUETYPE. This is because the Macintosh requires a screen font so itcan be displayed correctly and as implied the printer front is requiredto print the font correctly. Without either the advert cannot beoutput. A Truetype font has both printer and screen fonts embedded.
